INITIAL S

Single-use instrumentation kits for hand and forefoot screws.

To support surgeons in hand and forefoot procedures, Newclip Technics has developed a comprehensive range of screws available in various diameters and designs. This offering has been designed to adapt to each indication, patient anatomy, and individual technical preference.
To streamline operating room organization, Newclip Technics developed ready-to-use single-use kits: INITIAL S. The range streamlines surgical workflow with sterile, single-use instrumentation kits designed for the insertion of cannulated osteosynthesis screws*.

This format offers numerous advantages for surgeons and other healthcare professionals. In particular, it eliminates sterilization costs for healthcare facilities, reduces operating costs 1, shortens patient management time 2, and ensures immediate availability of implants without restocking delays 3. As a result, patient turnover in the operating room becomes more efficient 2, contributing to better utilization of it.

Some screws are available with a hexagonal recess, while others feature a hexalobe recess.

*The screws are not included in the INITIAL S kit; they are available separately in sterile single-unit packaging (S-box). Initially developed for hand and forefoot surgery, the screws of the INITIAL S range can nevertheless be used in other anatomical regions, depending on specific needs and the surgeon’s judgment. With diameters up to 4.0 mm, these screws are also suitable for various indications. For exemple: radial head surgery, hindfoot surgery, wrist surgery, and certain distal tibial indications.

The Stand-Alone Screws range are dedicated to the fixation of fractures, osteotomies, and bone arthrodesis in adults, suitable for the size of the device.

Our sterile solution : INITIAL S – Hand.

The Initial S – Hand range consists of three individual instrumentation kits for cannulated screws in Ø2.25 mm, Ø2.6 mm, and Ø3.0 mm.

KITS FOR CANNULATED SCREWS
The INITIAL S – Hand kits for cannulated hand screws include a quick-coupling drill bit, a 3-in-1 instrument, a quick-coupling handle, a double guide, and guidewires.
The kit composition varies depending on the screw diameter:
  • Kit for Ø2.25 mm self-compressive cannulated screws (cannula 0.9 mm – L14 mm to L34 mm for short thread – L12 mm to L34 mm for long thread)
  • Kit for Ø2.6 mm self-compressive or positioning cannulated screws (cannula 1.1 mm – L14 mm to L34 mm for short thread – L10 mm to L34 mm for long thread – L10 mm to L34 mm for full thread)
  • Kit for Ø3.0 mm self-compressive or positioning cannulated screws (cannula 1.1 mm – L14 mm to L34 mm for short thread – L10 mm to L40 mm for long thread – L10 mm to L40 mm for full thread)

The screws are self-drilling and self-tapping, available in multiple versions: short thread, long thread, and full thread.

Key features of the INITIAL S – Hand Range.

  • 3 screw diameters: Ø2.25mm, Ø2.6mm, and Ø3.0mm
  • 3 thread types: short thread, long thread, full thread
  • Self-drilling and self-tapping cannulated screws
  • A 3-in-1 instrument per screw diameter allowing cortical preparation (bur), length measurement (differential gauge), and screw insertion (screwdriver)
  • A sterile, single-use, ready-to-use format, suitable for emergency situations:
    • No sterilization costs for the hospital
    • Reduced risk of contamination1
    • Immediate access to materials: no restocking wait time
    • Reduction in operating time and costs2-3
    • Easier traceability thanks to detailed labeling
    • Ergonomic format adapted to instrument sets3
