Xpert Hand
.

Versatility at the service of hand surgery.

The hand, composed of 27 bones along with numerous muscles, tendons, and ligaments, is one of the most complex and highly used parts of the musculoskeletal system. Surgical management requires precision to restore function quickly and allow patients to resume daily activities in optimal conditions.

The Xpert Hand range provides a plate and screw system for the treatment of fractures, osteotomies, and hand arthrodesis.

It offers two low profile plate thicknesses according to indication :

0.8 mm for phalanges with Ø1.2 & 1.5 mm screws

1.3 mm for metacarpals with Ø2.0 & 2.3 mm screws

It stands out for its versatility and adaptability:

A wide library of designs and lengths to accommodate anatomical variations and different fracture types (straight plates, L-, T-, Y-shaped, glide plates, and other specific models)

Bendable and cuttable plates (except 1-hole PTSH1 hook plate) offering additional intraoperative flexibility.

A unique locking system combining monoaxial and polyaxial fixation with ±15° angulation.

The system is complemented by color-coded instrumentation specific to screw diameters, secure pick-and-stick self-holding system, numerous pliers and specialized instruments, and a modular storage solution.

A unique system covering all AO fractures of the metacarpals and phalanges.

HYBRID PLATE

A versatile solution capable of treating all AO fractures of the phalanges and metacarpals on its own.

Designed for high intraoperative adaptability, hybrid plates are customizable according to fracture type:

  • Bendable and cuttable plates thanks to dedicated areas for greater flexibility
  • Multiple configurations after cutting: straight, L-, T-, Y-shaped, etc.
  • Polyaxial locking system ±15° to adjust screw orientation
  • Two thicknesses: 0.8 mm (phalanges) and 1.3 mm (metacarpals)
  • One available size: 12 holes

STRAIGHT PLATES
  • Ramp oblong hole providing a guided axial compression to the reduction
  • Bendable and cuttable plates for greater flexibility
  • Bridged area to reinforce torsion and bending resistance
  • Polyaxial locking system ±15° to adjust screw orientation
  • Two thicknesses:8 mm (phalanges) and 1.3 mm (metacarpals)
  • Two sizes: 6 or 10 holes to fit patient anatomy
GLIDE PLATES
  • Continuous reinforced surface design for torsion and flexion resistance adapted to the indication
  • Anatomical congruence thanks to the original design, based on bone surface modeling and the “tile shaped” convexity of the top surface
  • Dedicated bending areas for greater flexibility
  • Polyaxial locking system ±15° to adjust screw orientation
  • Two thicknesses:8 mm (phalanges) and 1.3 mm (metacarpals)
  • Two sizes: 8 or 10 holes to fit patient anatomy
MEDIAL AND LATERAL PLATES

Designed to facilitate positioning according to the chosen surgical approach, these symmetrical plates are suitable for medial and lateral approaches:

  • Anatomical congruence based on original bone surface modeling and curved shape
  • Recess for temporary K-wire placement to fix condyles and position the plate, to avoid intra-articular screw placement
  • Dedicated bending areas for greater flexibility
  • Polyaxial locking system ±15° to adjust screw orientation
  • One available size: 6 holes

HOOK PLATE

This plate features a specific design for avulsion fractures (e.g., mallet fractures):

  • Hooks for supported fragment reduction without the need to place an additional implant
  • 1 ramp oblong hole for 0.75 mm compression
  • 1 pin hole for temporary positioning and stabilization
ROLANDO HOOK PLATE

The Rolando hook plate is designed for three-part pattern (Y or T-shaped) intra-articular comminuted fractures at the base of the first metacarpal bone:

  • Plate placement overlign the abductor pollicis longus (APL) tendon insertion
  • Hook for stabilization and buttress of proximal comminution at the base of the first metacarpal
  • Dedicated bending areas for greater flexibility: lateral and medial supports are also bendable
  • Polyaxial locking system ±15° to adjust screw orientation
DOUBLE OBLONG STRAIGHT PLATE

This plate features two long locking oblong holes for screw placement:

  • Each oblong hole can accommodate 1 to 3 screws, adapting fixation to the specific fracture pattern
  • Translation up to 6.5 mm or free screw placement outside fracture lines
  • Dedicated bending areas for flexibility
  • Polyaxial locking system ±15° to adjust screw orientation
  • Two pin holes for temporary plate fixation
ROTATION PLATE
  • Two locking oblong holes oriented at 90° allowing double correction (in translation and rotation)
  • Transversal oblong hole allows up to 15° of rotational correction
  • Dedicated bending areas for flexibility
  • Polyaxial locking system ±15° to adjust screw orientation
  • One available size: 7 holes
INSTRUMENTATION FOR LAG TECHNIQUE
  • Specific instrumentation for the lag technique, allowing compression of fragments together
  • For non-locking screws only (lag screws)

Key features of the Xpert Hand range.

  • Versatile hybrid plate: a single plate capable of treating all AO fractures of the metacarpals and phalanges
  • Wide choice of lengths and geometries: straight, L-, T-, Y-shaped, glide plates, etc., to adapt to patient anatomy
  • Unique locking system combining monoaxial and polyaxial fixation with ±15° angulation
  • Intraoperative flexibility: dedicated areas for cutting and bending
  • Specific instrumentation: lag technique allows fragment compression
